A Certified Public Accountant (USA) by qualification, Karan brings together over two decades of diverse experience spanning hospitality, audit, and business management.

Before joining the family’s hospitality ventures, Karan worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Pittsburgh, USA, where he led audits for Fortune 500 clients and developed a deep understanding of financial systems, compliance, and organizational efficiency. He continues to apply that analytical precision and strategic mindset to every aspect of hotel operations.

At The Samilton and The Roland, Karan has been instrumental in modernizing operations, enhancing guest satisfaction, and strengthening the hotels’ position as trusted brands in South Kolkata. His leadership is rooted in service excellence, innovation, and a commitment to preserving the timeless charm of both properties while aligning them with modern hospitality standards.

A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Economics with a Minor in Management Information Systems, Karan believes that sustainable growth and guest delight go hand in hand.
